Sfera: Sfera is a collaborative project that partners with small, certified-organic vineyards across Italy to create limited-run wines. The name « Sfera » translates to « sphere » in Italian, symbolizing their mission to bring « cosmic verve in a litre bottle from the Alps to the Mediterranean ». The Macerato is crafted from 100% Verdeca grapes, an indigenous variety to Puglia. These grapes are grown in clayey silt soils at an altitude of 350 meters in Acquaviva delle Fonti, near Bari. The cool, elevated location contributes to the wine’s freshness despite the region’s warm climate. The wine undergoes 14 days of skin maceration, offering subtle tannin and a herbal complexity.
